Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy (“Policy”) describes permitted and prohibited use of the GetInSync services.

This Policy is a legally binding agreement between you (“you” or “User”) and Allstar Technologies Canada Limited, operating as GetInSync (“GetInSync”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

This Policy applies to your use of:

  • https://getinsync.ca

  • The GetInSync application and related services

  • All features used to manage application portfolios, deployment profiles, cost data, assessments, and related content (collectively, the “Services”)

By accessing or using the Services, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

This Policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions.

Purpose of the Services

GetInSync is a SaaS platform used by organizations to:

  • Maintain application portfolios

  • Model deployment profiles and services

  • Store cost, risk, and assessment data

  • Support planning, modernization, and governance decisions

  • Collaborate across teams

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

Acceptable Use

You may use the Services only for:

  • Your organization’s internal business purposes

  • Managing your own application, service, and portfolio data

  • Performing analysis, assessments, and planning activities

  • Collaborating with authorized users in your organization

You must:

  • Follow all applicable laws and regulations

  • Keep your access credentials secure

  • Use the Services only in ways that do not harm GetInSync, other customers, or the platform

Prohibited Activities

You must not use the Services to:

  • Upload, transmit, or distribute malware or harmful code

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any system, account, or data

  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Services

  • Store or transmit unlawful, abusive, or harmful content

  • Store or transmit content that infringes intellectual property or privacy rights

  • Misrepresent your identity or your authority to act on behalf of an organization

  • Collect or attempt to collect personal data about others without proper authority

  • Use the Services for harassment, threats, or harmful conduct

  • Resell, sublicense, or provide access to the Services except as permitted by your agreement

  • Use the Services to build or operate a competing product

  • Bypass usage limits, access controls, or security features

System Abuse and Security

You must not:

  • Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Services

  • Use tools or scripts designed to compromise security

  • Attempt to bypass authentication or authorization controls

  • Upload or run code that degrades service performance

  • Access networks or systems without permission

We may suspend or terminate access if we detect activity that threatens the security or stability of the Services.

Use of Service Resources

You must not:

  • Run workloads that place unreasonable load on the platform

  • Attempt denial-of-service or similar attacks

  • Use the Services to host or distribute unrelated file sharing, proxy, or tunneling services

  • Use automation in a way that disrupts service for other customers

We may apply rate limits, restrict access, or take other action to protect platform reliability.

Data and Content Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • The accuracy and legality of data you upload

  • Having the right to store and process that data

  • Limiting access to authorized users in your organization

You must not:

  • Upload data you do not have the right to use

  • Store highly sensitive personal data unless your agreement with GetInSync allows it

  • Use the Services to process data in violation of applicable law

We handle personal information as described in our Privacy Policy.

AI-Assisted Features

GetInSync includes AI-assisted features to support analysis, classification, and summarization of your data.

You acknowledge that:

  • AI-generated output may contain errors or omissions

  • You remain responsible for reviewing and validating results

  • You must not rely on AI output as the sole basis for decisions that require professional judgment

  • You must not use AI features to generate unlawful, harmful, or infringing content

You must not attempt to use AI features to:

  • Extract data from other customers

  • Bypass security or access controls

  • Generate content that violates this Policy or applicable law

Anti-Spam and Messaging

You must not use the Services to send or facilitate:

  • Unsolicited commercial messages

  • Bulk messaging that violates applicable law

  • Any messaging that does not comply with Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) or other applicable regulations

Your content or services promoted through spam may not be used in connection with GetInSync.

Intellectual Property

You must not upload or distribute content that infringes copyright, trademark, or other rights.

If we receive a valid notice of infringement, we may remove the content and take appropriate action, including account suspension or termination.

Enforcement

We may take action if you violate this Policy, including:

  • Suspending or terminating your access

  • Restricting features or usage

  • Removing content

  • Reporting unlawful activity to authorities when required

Nothing in this Policy limits our rights or remedies under law or contract.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page. Continued use of the Services means you accept the updated Policy.
